1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, work email, company, billing details and any content you upload to our workspace — as well as information generated automatically when you interact with our website (IP address, device, browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, timestamps).
2. How we use information
- Operate, maintain and improve the Scale Metrics platform and credit system.
- Process orders, deliver credits and provide customer support.
- Send transactional messages (receipts, security alerts, service updates).
- Send marketing messages — only when you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Detect fraud, abuse and security incidents and comply with legal obligations.
3. Legal bases (GDPR)
We rely on contract performance to deliver the services you purchase, legitimate interests for analytics and product improvement, consent for marketing and non-essential cookies, and legal obligations for tax, accounting and law-enforcement requests.
4. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share data with vetted processors that help us run the service (hosting, payments, email delivery, analytics, customer support) under written data-processing agreements. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights.
5. International transfers
Our infrastructure is hosted in the EU and US. When data is transferred outside the EEA / UK we use Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary safeguards.
6. Retention
We keep account data while your account is active and for up to 24 months after closure, unless a longer period is required by law (e.g. tax records — 7 years). Backups are rotated on a 35-day cycle.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port or restrict processing of your personal information, withdraw consent and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Email [email protected] to exercise these rights.
8. Security
We use TLS in transit, encryption at rest, role-based access control, audit logging and annual third-party penetration tests. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong unique password and enable 2FA.
9. Children
Scale Metrics is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
We will post any updates on this page and, for material changes, notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
